• Suffering from Skin or Eye problems? Chamomile has also been found to be a great treatment to skin disorders, sunburns, and eye problems. It can relieve tired or puffy eyes, just soak a wash cloth or cotton wool in a cool cup of chamomile tea and place over your eyes a few times a day.
• I sometimes use chamomile as a facial steamer. Simply boil water and add a chammile teabag. Once your water has boiled let it sit for a minute or two and grab a towel. Make sure your hair is out of the way and your eyes are closed. Keep an ideal distance between you and the pot and place the towel over your head. You want to stay under the towel enjoying the steam for about five minutes.
• Want to bring out your natural highlights without uing a hair dye? Meet your new best beauty friend! Steep 2 chamomile tea bags in 2 cups of hot water for 5-10 minutes. Then add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the mixture. Use this as a final rinse on your hair after your normal shampoo routine, but do not rinse it out. This will help to bring out the natural blond and red tones in your hair and help to slightly lighten your hair all over, without being drastic or looking fake.

My little man has a viral infection so I have been focussing on getting him well.Not that there is much I can do for him other than lots of TLC.

• No Junk food hit my lips this week, something I’m very proud of as I am majorly craving the cheese and onion peanuts from Tesco,they are addictive!Anytime I’m in my local Tesco I fight with myself not to get a packet.
• Walking was non existant this week as I didn’t want little man out in the cold so instead I broke other Charlie Brooks Before and After Workout on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.I find the DVD brilliant and think it is ideal inspiration for me as its based on Charlie Brooks losing baby weight. Some of the sections are quite fun which keeps it from getting boring. I also have the Carmen Electra workout somewhere so plan on rooting it out and rotating the two.
• I actually broke out the Pu Erh Tea everyday this week, drinking 2-3 cups a day. Although apparently you can drink up to 6 cups. Going to test how hard it is to do that this week, although I figure thats 2 cupswith each meal so might be ok.
• I did the weekly shop and didn’t buy any junk food,instead I opted for lots of fruit and veg. Oh and I bought Rooibos as I was curious about the taste. Surprisingly it’s quite nice, kinda like regular tea but with a cinnamony after taste. It’s recommened to drink before you go to bed and is caffeine free.

So what did the scales report this week? A 2.5 lb loss which I am delighted with. I reckon if I keep up the exercise and healthy food I’ll be a skinny malink in no time.

My aim for this week is to up my water intake, but with the Pu-Erh and Rooibos tea this shouldnt be a problem. I know have a cold so am hoping this doesn’t floor me for the week. I am also thinking of doing a detox so am spendingthe day researching a healthy helping hand.

Finally stand tall and enjoy the attention!

• I managed to stick relatively well to no eating junk food, apart from one night when hubby came home with some snacks.
• Exercise went slightly better, getting out for three one hour walks. I didnt break out the exercise dvd
• I drank gallons of water and had planned on drinking my Pu-Erh Tea everyay but I only managed 3 days.

In total I lost 2lbs, considering I didn’t do very much, I feel this is a good weightloss. If I lost 2lbs every week I will get to my desired size by June. Which would be perfect as I am going bridesmaid dress shopping for my cousins wedding at the end of June.

My thing for this week is “Must Try Better” and so far so good. I’ve been out for two hour long walks already and not a bit of junk food has touched my lips. I’m also going to try drink more Pu-Erh Tea.

Ther are so many makeup brush cleaners on the market, some are really good and others are very harsh and can cause damage to your brushes. After trying many brush cleaners, I found the best and mose inexpensive cleaner is Baby Shampoo. Baby shampoo gives your brushes a good clean and keeps them staying soft.

Here are three easy steps to cleaning your brushes:

1. Take the first make-up brush and completely wet it. Make sure to get the entire brush wet! If you do, you could miss some dirt.
2. Pour a drop of baby shampoo into the palm of your hand. Lather up the bristles of the make-up brush with the baby shampoo like you would your hair. Keep rubbing in the baby shampoo into the bristles of the make-up brush for one minute.
3. Rinse the make-up brush thoroughly to get rid of the baby shampoo. Keep rinsing until the water running through the make-up brush runs clear. The colour washing off the make-up brush is old make-up.
4. Lay a hand towel on a flat surface Lay the wet make-up brush flat on the towel to dry.
5. Repeat the above steps for all of your make-up brushes. Allow make-up brushes to dry for at least two hours before using.

On arrival, I was greeted by Tetyana and brought up to one of their treatment rooms. Once up on the beauty couch, Tetyana carried out a skin care consultation and gave me some practical skincare advice.

Turns out I have mostly oily skin with some dehydration. The dehydration part I knew about as in the winter the skin on my forehead goes very flaky and is a pain to try sort out. I was recommended to use products with Vitamin C and a Night Cream twice a week. (I got samples of Image Skincare to try)

So what was involved with my treatment? You name it, I probably had it done- Cleanse, Exfoliation,Facial Steaming, Blackhead Removal (Ouch this hurt!) and a facial mask (while this was working its magic, I was treated to a neck and shoulder massage-soooo relaxing)

Some of the products used, did make my skin tingle but I wasn’t worried as Tetyana explained this would happen because the products use active ingredients.

The facial lasted an hour and I can honestly say it was so relaxing (apart from the blackghead removal,but thats normal) Tetyana was very thorough in her skincare consultation,advice and facial skills.

Is it something I will keep up? Definitely! I am already thinking of what I can cut back on to be able to afford a facial every few months.(Tetyana recommended every two to three months) For the first time, in a long time my skin feels really clean and fresh.

I really have been far too lazy and need to kick myself in the backside to get some motivation going. So here is  my plan:

• Get out for an hour walk everyday but if its raining stick on my Charlie Brooks Before & After Exercise DVD.
• No more snacking between meals and cut down on junk food.
• Eat more vegetables. I love vegetables but lately both myself and the hubby have been eating quite poorly.
• Drink more water. I used to be great at drinking my eight glasses a day but it has slipped big time in the last few months.
• Plan a reward for myself for a week of good behaviour, I’m thinking a bottle of coke (my weakness) or packet of crisps.

I’ll be posting once a week on how I am getting on, including how much weight I have lost/gained, how I am feeling and what exercise I have actually managed to do. Also once I have gotten down to my desired dress size 12, I will be getting rid of all my clothes and going on a major shopping spree.
