Pai Skincare

Last week I had the pleasure of meetingSarah, the genius behind Pai Skincare, the experts on sensitive skin. Pai started when Sarah developed a bad skin allergy and struggled to find products on the market she could use. Fed up, she researched the ingredients in products to identify which caused flare ups. She was shocked to discover:

  • Many chemicals used in skin care products can irritate the skin and cause allergies.
  • These toxins can build up in the body and have been linked to wider health problems.
  • Cosmetics companies use these chemicals because they are cheap and extend product shelf life.
  • Many leading natural skin care companies use the same chemicals or worse in their products while making misleading ‘organic’ claims.

On launching Pai in 2007, Sarah’s goal was to create the cleanest plant-based skin care on the market, with a range of products formulated for people with very sensitive skin. Celebs seem to love Pai with Natalie Portman using the Chamomile and Rosehip sensitive skin cream (retailing at €29.95)

xxx I got to try this and really like it, having sensitive skin I am constantly on the hunt for products that don’t agitate my skin. The cream feels lovely and melts into your skin. After a few days of using this, my skin feels smoother and more moisturised xxx

Sarah also showed me some other goodies including Rosehip BioRegenerate™ Oil (€23.95)conditions the skin, improving skin firmness, elasticity and suppleness. It can also help with stretch marks, scars, sun damage and fine lines. This Rosehip oil is in its purest form thanks to no cold pressing so no oxidisation

xxx I definitely will be investing in this to help with the stretch marks I got when I was pregnant xxx

Anti Ageing Echium Eye Cream which is free from alcohol and irritating chemicals, making it ideal for the delicate skin around the eyes. Echium the richest known natural source of both Stearidonic Acid and GLA, and many are calling it the new “wonder ingredient” for anti-ageing products.

xxx I’m a terror for not using an eye cream, trying to get better so might have to put this on my Christmas wish list xxx

Pai defintiely seems to be the answer for those of us who suffer from sensitive skin and want to know exactly what is in the products we use on our skin. My favourite things about Pai are:

  • All Pai products are certified organic by the UK Soil Association. (Far too many brands make natural and organic claims for their products that in reality are not what they claim to be)
  • All ingredients are in plain English. The latin is an industry requirement but it is very confusing. Pai have taken away this confusion by putting the english translation beside the latin so you know exactly whats in their creams.
  • All skin types ae catered for, not  just senstive skin

Pai is available at www.paiskincare.ie and from stockists around Ireland
